It seems Aircel has realized the importance of data and is offering a new plan to attract data users. Aircel has launched a new data scheme in all of its circles, which offers free talk time on data recharges each time. This new scheme is probably a step to boost data use on its network.

Aircel has launched the new data plans in all the circles under its operation, however, pricing of the plan differ circle wise. For ex, in case of Delhi-NCR circle, if any Aircel user recharges with Rs.196 1GB 2G data pack, the prepaid account also gets credited with 20,000 seconds of Local+STD voice calls.Aircel New data offer

“The product has been especially designed keeping in view the dramatic increase of mobile data users in India, for whom data usage is as much a part of their daily lives as is voice calling,” the operator said in a press release.

“With this, customers will now enjoy an added benefit on the most affordable data products by Aircel. Moreover, the product also offers attractive call rates for local as well STD calling,” it further added.

The Rs. 196 1GB recharge offers 28 days of validity along with a call rate of 1 paisa per second for a period of 90 days. This is going to be a win-win situations for customers for whom data is as important as voice calls and vice-versa. Aircel has been witnessing steady increase in data adoption across its various circles and it very well knows that affordable data plans bundled with free voice calls will attract more customers.

Anupam Vasudev, chief marketing officer, Aircel, said, “It is far from being unknown that mobile data usage is dramatically increasing in India, and mobile internet has become a way of life for many. It brings us pride that Aircel offers the most affordable Data products to its customers, and offering free voice calling benefits would bring them the best value for their money. This product is in line with our promise of ‘doing a little extra’, and we’re confident that it will appeal to a large number of our users across the country.”

It now needs to be seen how customers receive these aggressive data plans from Aircel.
