Airtel offering free facebook access to prepaid cutomers in 9 regional languages

Airtel is the leading Indian mobile service provider and it comes out with attractive schemes from time to time for the benefit of it’s customers. Recently Airtel offered new customisable plans called as “Airtel MyPlan” and now Airtel is offering free facebook access to its’s customers and that too in 9 different regional languages i.e, Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam.

Airtel has over 193 million subscribers in India out of which majority are on prepaid plans. Although offer is supposed to be free but it has a monthly data cap of 30 MB beyond which facebook usage will be charged as per your existing data plan. Apart from that this offer is applicable till 31st of January, 2014.

With the help of this service Airtel subscribers would be able to chat,comment, upload photos, post status updates and more in thier languauge of choice. You may use your mobile’s browser or the official facebook app to avail this offer. In case of using brower log on to mobile site m.facebook.com and start using it for free. Existing facebook users will be able to straight away use this service free of cost, whereas those using facebook for the first time need to register for it by visiting m.facebook.com from their mobile’s browser.Free facebook on Airtel

With this Airtel has become the first mobile operator to offer Facebook in users mother tounge as the interface is compatible with Feature, Java, Android, iPhone & Windows devices alike.

Mobile operators of late have started offering special packs for social media websites and messaging apps like Whatsapp knowing that accessing these services on the go has become important for majority of customers.
