Motorola last year confirmed that Moto X & G (2013) would be getting Android 5.0 Lollipop update. There were rumors about Moto X getting Lollipop update before 2014 ends. It is known as device protection feature and allows user to lock their stolen devices and it can’t be unlocked until and unless some one logs in with initially used Google account.
