Moto G (1st Gen) now getting Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update in US

Motorola treated Moto G (1st Gen.) 2013 model owners in United States with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update on Thursday. The update was long due and Moto G users must be feeling relieved after hearing this news. Motorola rolled out the soak test for same way back in December last year.

A period of 5 months after soak test must have been used by Motorola to fix issues and bugs in the earlier version, and you can be rest assured to find minimal or no bugs after update.Moto G 2013

The Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update for Moto G 2013 is up and live over-the-air and will notify you automatically sooner or later. If you are too impatient then you can check for update manually as well by following the path Settings>>About Phone>>System updates.

The Lollipop update for Moto G (1st Gen.) brings in lots of new things like material design UI, battery saver mode, better performance with newer ART and smart lock to name a few. You can read all the new features in detail on the official Motorola website.

Before you proceed for installing the update on your device, make sure it has at least 50% charge remaining and is connected via a stable WiFi connection to ensure update is not interrupted in between.
