If you are a proud Indian LG G3 owner then we have a good news for you! Your prized possession is now eligible to receive latest Android Lollipop 5.0 update in India. Though the update is currently not available for OTA download, you can easily install the latest android version on you LG G3 using any PC. Few weeks ago we included LG G3 in our list of smartphones scheduled to receive Android Lollipop update soon and we have been proved right!

LG has been working hard to push Android Lollipop update across its flagships before 2014 ends. LG G3 was earlier seeded with Lollipop update in Korea and Europe and now it is India’s turn. In order to install Lollipop on your LG G3 you first need LG Mobile Support tool (which could be found on LG website). Then you need to download 1.1 GB of update and the software version reads “V20e-IND-XX”. The PC update is quite heavy at 1.1 GB, however we expect the OTA update to be much lighter and probably would be delivered within a week. Some of the change that Android Lollipop update brings on board to LG G3 are smoother material user interface, revamped notification center, a Siri/Cortana like voice search assistant “Voice Mate”, newer lock screen notification and quick menu with more toggle switches.

This update also brings in color inversion function along with highly detailed and tabbed task manager.  Other important features of the update include the efficient ART runtime, battery saving features and more.
