Chinese tech giant Lenovo has announced the roll out of Android 5.0.2 Lollipop update to its A6000 and A6000 Plus smartphones in India. These devices until now were on Android 4.4.4 Kitkat and the new Lollipop update will be delivered over-the-air (OTA). As per Lenovo, the new update brings in bug fixes which leads to better performance and stability, alongside usual Android Lollipop changes.
GSMArena posted some user reports about A6000 Plus receiving Android 5.0.2 Lollipop with build number of A6000_A_0001_15_08_27, in an update sized at 1092MB.
Lenovo A6000 is quite a popular device in India and was launched earlier this year at CES 2015. In January, it was made available in India, priced at Rs. 6,999. Similary, Lenovo A6000 Plus is a refreshed version of A6000 and was launched in April, priced at Rs. 7,499. Before announcing the roll out of Lollipop update, Lenovo said it has sold 1.3 million units of A6000 and A6000 Plus till date.
Now with newer Android version, Levono A6000 & A6000 Plus users would be able to enjoy material design, newer themes, battery saver, new interactive notifications, bug fixes, and additional security features.

The Lenovo A6000 Plus is a refreshed version of A6000, and is currently up for grabs for just Rs. 7,499. This nifty device boasts of a quad-core processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB ROM, features 5-inch HD display, 8-megapixel rear camera, 2-megapixel selfie camera and a 2,300 mAh battery. The battery is rated to deliver 13 hours of 3G talktime. It is considerably sleek at 8.2 mm and weights 128 grams. Connectivity features include dual SIM-dual standby, 4G, Bluetooth 4.0, WiFi, GPS and FM radio.
