Xolo Q1200 with 5 inch HD Display and Sony Exmor R sensor launched

Recently Xolo added Q600s to its Q series and it has again announced a Q series smart phone named Xolo Q1200 to be made available on popular e-commerce websites such as Flipkart, Snapdeal and Amazon. Q1200 would be available for Rs. 13,999 in the Indian smartphone market.

Xolo has started pre booking on the above mentioned online retailers and the handsets would start shipping from 10th June on wards. Xolo announced the new smart phone on its official Facebook page and the post went like “Introducing Xolo Q1200, a smart phone packed with a bundle of smart features to make life simpler. Xolo has gone against the dual SIM trend with Xolo Q1200 as it is a single SIM device and it runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean however company has promised to soon deliver the Kitkat update. Xolo Q1200 boasts of a 5 inch HD IPS display with 1280×720 resolution, which delivers a pixel density of 294 ppi. A corning gorilla glass 3 protective layer is in place to save your smart phone from accidental scratches.

The Q1200 is power packed with a quad-core MediaTek (MT6582) processor clocked at 1.3 GHz and comes paired with 1 GB of RAM. It does a decent job at on board storage with 8 GB of ROM which could be expanded up to 32 GB using microSD card. If you are photography enthusiast then Xolo Q1200 is for you as its rear camera is a 8 MP auto focus snapper that comes equipped with Sony’s Exmor R sensor and dual LED flash. Sony Exmor R sensors are known for good low light and smear free (in strong light sources) photography. Rear camera also boasts of features like scene detection, tuning, high dynamic, HDR, face recognition, Panorama and geo tagging. Xolo Q1200 has a 2 mega pixel front facing camera.

This device draws it power from a 2,000 mAh Li-ion battery, which as per Xolo’s claim can deliver a talk time of 15 hours and up to 418 hours of standby time.  As of now only Black and White colored variants are up for sale. It competes with likes of Motorola Moto G and Micromax Canvas Turbo A250 mini.
