The homegrown smartphone maker launched yet another budget smartphone in India, The Xolo Prime. It runs the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS and is priced at just Rs. 5,699. The Xolo Prime will soon be available online as well as at brick and mortar stores across India and competes head on with Micromax Canvas Spark.
These days companies are showing more interest in budget segment with Micromax, InFocus, Lenovo, Motorola launching a new device every other day. This has given customer many choices at affordable price. The Xolo Prime touts dual-SIM feature, with both the SIM cards on dual standby.
The device features a 4.5-inch IPS display with FWVGA 480×854 pixels resolution and a pixel density of 218ppi. Under the hood, it has a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582M processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM and 500 MHz Mali 400 MP GPU. The smartphone comes with internal storage of 8 GB and it could further be increased up to 32 GB via microSD card.
As far as imaging is concerned, it boasts of an 5-megapixel auto focus rear camera with LED flash, as well as another 0.3-megapixel VGA front-facing camera. It comes power packed with a 1,800 mAh battery, which gets fully charged under 3 hours and delivers a talk time of up to 20.8 hours. It also offers up to 400 hours of standby time on 2G network and 500 hours of standby on 3G networks.
