Have you been planning to buy Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G since long? If the answer is yes, then we have a good news for you. Yesterday, Xiaomi announced on its social media pages that fans could expect something ‘jaw-dropping’ soon. The announcement was a pleasant surprise for us, as company announced a Rs. 2,000 price cut for Redmi Note 4G.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G is now available for Rs. 7,999 ($126) on Mi.Com as well as company’s India partners including Flipkart, Amazon, Snapdeal, The Mobile Stores and Airtel stores.
Last month company also reduced prices for some of its Mi range of smartphones such as Mi 4 etc. Xiaomi’s press note reads “Now, lower costs have enabled us to reduce the price of Redmi Note 4G, and this translates into savings that Mi fans can enjoy.” But we don’t think lower costs have anything to do with this price cut. Most probably Xiaomi is trying to clear its inventory before a new significant launch.
The Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 4G was company’s first 4G enabled device sold in India, and became runaway success after company managed to sell tens of thousands of devices within few weeks on Flipkart flash sales. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4G was launched in India in December 2014 and supports both the 4G bands.
On the specifications front, the Redmi Note 4G boasts of a 5.5inch HD IPS display and is powered by a 1.6GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 MSM8928 processor coupled with 2GB of RAM. The phone packs in 3,100 mAh battery and runs Xiaomi’s MIUI OS.
The phablet comes equipped with 8GB of internal storage, which is further expandable up to 64GB via microSD card. The phone boasts of a 13-megapixel rear camera along with 5-megapixel front facing camera for video chats and selfies.
