Xiaomi Mi 4c has quite a few leaks to its credit and has rightly gained ‘Xiaomi’s most leaked phone of the year’ status. But leaving behind all rumors, Xiaomi’s co-founder and president, Mr. Lin Bin has recently announced on his Weibo account that the long rumored device will make its debut on September 22.
He also revealed that the Mi 4c will be available in two variants – one with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, while the other will come with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of memory.
If rumors are anything to go by, then the new Xiaomi Mi 4c would be an upgraded version of Xiaomi’s Mi 4i which was launched earlier this year. The Xiaomi Mi 4i is powered by the Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor, while the new Xiaomi Mi 4c is likely to come with 64-bit Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, if rumors are to be believed.
Last month, few images of Mi 4c cropped up on TENAA and also leaked its specifications, which includes a 1.4Ghz hexa-core Snapdragon 808 SoC and a 5-inch display with 1080p resolution. It would also come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal memory.
The 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM variant will cost you 1,499 Yuan ($235 or INR 15,623), while the 3GB RAM, 32GB ROM version will probably sell under $300. Both the variants will feature Type-C USB for faster charging along with a 3,080 mAh battery.
According the previous leaks, the Xiaomi Mi 4c would feature a 13-megapixel camera rear camera along side a 5-megapixel front facing camera. The device will run Xiaomi’s custom made MIUI 7 OS on top of Android 5.1 Lollipop and will also support 4G LTE connectivity. Want to keep updated on Mi 4c?
