WickedLeak Wammy Titan 3 Octa launched: Specs Review and Price

By | March 25, 2014

WickeLeak today launched Wammy Titan 3 Octa a cost effective and feature rich smartphone for the Indian smartphone market. Company has already listed Wammy Titan 3 Octa on it’s website and announced that deliveries for the booked handsets would start from April 5th, 2014. If you want to make this smartphone water resistant than you can additionally pay INR. 1,500 and opt for AquaProtect hydrophobic coating. For your knowledge AquaProtect technology forms a water repellent coating both outside as well as inside of the smartphone and will make your phone withstand water for  almost 30 minutes.

Earlier WickedLeak had released one more octacore smartphone by the name Wammy Passion X. Some of the features that makes Wammy Titan 3 Octa stand apart from crowd are MediaTek Octacore processor, 5.7 inch display, 3,200 mAh battery, liquid repellent technology and obviously the unbelievable price point. Currently no other smartphone has so many power features at such a low price point. One thing that goes against this smartphone is that it is somewhat bulky at 150 grams. Now let us talk in detail about what this phone has on offer.Wammy Titan 3 Octa

This device sports a beautiful 5.7 inch capacitive IPS WXGA display which delivers a resolution of 800×1280 pixel coupled with OGS lamination and Dragon Tail Glass coating (a protective coating like Gorilla Glass). One Glass Solution paired with Dragon Tail Glass coating ensures that display is sleek and is well protected at the same time. We are quite sure about Wammy Titan 3 Octa’s jaw dropping performance due to it’s 1.7 GHz Octa Core MediaTek MT6592 processor paired with 2 GB of RAM. Graphics are rendered with the help of octacore Mali 450 GPU which ensures your graphics rich and heavy games runs smoothly.

This device impressed us on the camera front as well with 13 MP auto focus rear camera with flash (4096 x 3072 pixels resolution,Support 1080P video record) while a 5MP camera at the front will take care of your video calls and selfies. It comes with an on board storage of 16 GB which can further be expanded up to 64 GB using an external microSD card. This device runs on older Android 4.2 Jelly Bean OS.

Wammy Titan 3 Octa is a dual SIM phone with one slot supporting normal sized SIM and the other one supports micro SIM. GPS with A-GPS, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n with direct functionality, Bluetooth 2.1 and 3G are some of the connectivity features found in this smartphone.

With a octa core processor and a mammoth 5.7 inch display this device also needs a powerful battery to power itself up. WickedLeak has done justice by fitting this device with a generous 3,200 mAh battery that would be sufficient for even full day of heavy use. But this heavy battery has taken a toll on the Wammy Titan 3 Octa’s overall weight. It weighs 150 grams!

  • Sanjeev

    Hi tejasvi….
I am planning to buy this phone…

what abt the phone after kitkat update? Now the phone is coming with KitKat ..am I right..
This phone will support USB OTG ? is it compatible with Smart Watches….
Now in their site mensioned the price is 17990/- without aquprotect…Why?
Kindly let me know the details……….Thank u sir…..

    • Hi Vinod,

Yes you are right, this smartphone now comes with Kitkat 4.4 pre-installed. Kitkat is known to be light on system resources and hence known to enhance bettery performance on lots of devices. So Wammy Titan octa should not be an exception!
Unfortunately this device does not support OTG, but you may use a 64 GB microSD card to compensate for that.
Yes this device is compatible with all smart watches!
Aqua Protect is a technology using which your smartphone can be made water resistant (not water proof). So if you are out in rain or some occasional splash hits your smartphone it will work fine. A chemical coating is applied to the interiors of the device which provides water resistance and hence costs more.
