Samsung is trying to rejig its range of smartphones by adding newer one’s to its Galaxy A series. As per some reports, Samsung will soon come out with three new member of the Galaxy A series, the Galaxy A6, Galaxy A8 and Galaxy A9. Currently we don’t have any credible information on A6 and A9, however some reports suggest that Galaxy A8 will come equipped with 5.5-inch full-HD display (1080×1920 pixels), a 1.4 GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB onboard memory.

So it becomes clear here that earlier rumors of Galaxy A8 featuring a 5.7-inch display does not hold true. Basically Galaxy A8 is just an upgraded version of A7.Samsung Galaxy A8 spotted online

The device also features a 16-megapixel rear camera with auto focus and flash, and another 5-megapixel front-facing shooter. It offers 4G LTE connectivity coupled with premium looking metallic finish on the handset to give it an upper hand among similar feature rich smartphones.

The device comes packed with a 3,050 mAh battery and there is no information about its talk time and standby capacity as of now. On May 9, the Galaxy A8 appeared on the GFXBench, where it was code named as MS-A8000. The device tested on GFXBench was running Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS with Samsung’s proprietary TouchWiz UI layered on top.

All these developments quite clearly points to the fact that company is in final stages of launching the Galaxy A8. We have to wait and see when South Korean tech giant officially announces the launch of Galaxy A8.

Earlier there were some rumors about Galaxy A8 getting launched exclusively in China and South Korea. Now there are confirmed reports that the handset will be available in various markets in Asia and Europe as well.
