If tweet by evleaks founder Evan Blass are to be believed, then Alcatel is soon going to launch its OneTouch Fierce XL in Windows 10 and Android flavors! Last month, Alcatel confirmed that it is making its first ever Windows 10 smartphone, which will also be launched as an Android variant. However, company didn’t disclose any other details about the phone at that time.
The tweet also claims that both the variants are expected to hit the T-Mobile network in latter part of this year at approximately the same time.Same phone running different software is a rarity these days, however, Taiwanese smartphone maker HTC has launched both Android and Windows version of its One M8 smartphone. Both the version of the phone can be seen in the image above, Android version with capacitive buttons on the right, while windows phone with physical buttons sitting on the left.
Both the devices are expected to be sharing common hardware specifications, except for some minor differences like capacitve button on Android version. As of writing this post, rumors about the Windows version are available in the public domain. The device should feature a 5.5-inch display with HD 720 p resolution and run Windows 10.
The Alcatal OneTouch Fierce XL should be powered by entry level quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 SoC alongside 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage space. The phone should also pack a 2,500 mAh battery, 8MP rear camera and 2MP front facing camera. Some rumors also suggests that Windows variant of the phone will also support VoLTE(Voice over LTE).
