The Chinese smartphone maker OnePlus is on the verge of launching its third smartphone dubbed as OnePlus X or OnePlus Mini. If media invites are anything to go by, then the device in question is going to be launched on October 29, 2015 at events in China and London simultaneously.
The media invite shows a glowing ‘X’, which logically gives us a hint that device may be named OnePlus X. However, True-Tech blog spotted the device on Flipkart India for a very short duration after which the page was pulled down. Flipkart listed the device as ‘OnePlus Mini’.
The Flipkart glitch incidentally leaked the OnePlus Mini or X specifications for us and let’s see what we have on offer! As per the leaked info the unannounced OnePlus X or mini will feature a 5-inch full-HD display protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 covering. The display will also plays host to Synaptics’ ClearForce Technology, which is something close to what Apple offers in the name of ‘Force Touch’ on its latest iPhone 6s.
As per the leaked Flipkart listing, the unannounced OnePlus X is likely to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek MT6795 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM. The listing also reveals that OnePlus Mini will pack a 2,450 mAh battery and a metal frame around the body.
The new device from OnePlus is likely to run OxygenOS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Some rumors also points out a 13-megapixel rear camera with Sony IMX258 sensor. Stay tuned in to our blog to get timely updates on new OnePlus Mini.
