Motorola to roll out Android Kitkat 4.4.4 for Moto X, G & E this week in India

By | July 6, 2014

This is a good news for all proud Moto E, Moto G and Moto X users in India as Motorola India recently announced on their twitter handle that they are going to push latest Android 4.4.4 Kitkat version starting this week. The process will be carried out in batches and you can expect the update anytime this week. I personally checked my Moto X, but to my dismay it is still not showing any signs of Android 4.4.4 Kitkat update. Probably before this week ends all of us will be delivered with this latest update.

Motorola Mobility rolled out the Android 4.4.3 Kitkat version to North American region early last month, however much before it could be pushed out globally Google came out with another minor update with Kitkat 4.4.4. So now Motorola is straight away pushing Kitkat 4.4.4 update to Indian Moto E,G and X users.Moto X Kitkat 4.4.4 Update

Now some of you must be wondering how to check if your Moto device is up for this update or not? The process is very simple just go to Settings>>About Phone>>System Updates. When you are prompted to download the new software package then click on download. Once the download completes your smartphone will reboot and don’t switch off your device in between the update as it will end up corrupting your device.

The new Kitkat v4.4.4 is slated to bring the previous improvements of Android v4.4.3 as well as comes with bug fixes for OpenSSL-related vulnerabilities. Following devices have already received Kitkat v4.4.4 update Nexus 5, Nexus 7 WiFi tabs (2012 & 2013 editions), Nexus 10, Nexus 4 and other Google Play smartphones.
