Moto G is one smartphone which has revived the fortunes of Motorola in many of the smartphone markets across the world. No doubt Moto G is one fine smartphone at an extremely aggressive price point but Motorola wants to take the excitement further to Ferrari fans with the launch of Moto G Ferrari edition. As of now this limited edition Moto G would only be available in Mexico. This could be seen as Motorola trying to reach out to premium customers and to further penetrate market with Moto G.

Motorola has partnered with Ferarri known for its sports cars and Formula 1 racing to come out with Moto G Ferrari edition which has been encased in Kevlar (a special fiber material). A Ferrari logo has been embossed at the bottom of the display, while a  Ferrari ‘Prancing Horse’ logo has been placed at the back.

Moto G Ferrari edition will feature 16 GB of on board memory and is technically similar to vanilla Moto G edition. It will also run on Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and is likely to feature a custom user interface. The only change here is the price of Moto G Ferrari edition. Moto G was huge success because of the value for money proposition it brought to the table with HD display, latest Android Kitkat, Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor and a 1 GB RAM. All this was made available for Rs. 12,500 or US $200 off contract.

But Moto G Ferrari edition will set you back by 4,999 Mexican Pesos or US $390 and we think you won’t mind shelling a little extra for premium Ferrari branding.
