Microsoft has been trying hard to revive Nokia’s as well as Windows phone’s fortune in India and recently launched its most affordable windows phone Nokia Lumia 530 in India. Lumia 530 is the successor of popular Nokia Lumia 520 which was known for its sturdiness as well as affordability. This launch is clearly aimed at containing Motorola which has been able to capture low end market with Moto E and Moto G.

Nokia is struggling to hold on to its market share and in order to set its house in order it has recently announced to give up on Android operating system based X lineup. So from now on Microsoft Devices (Nokia) will focus on producing windows smartphones. A recent report claimed that Motorola has trounced Nokia in the smartphone segment and Lumia 530 may be seen as an attempt by Nokia to regain its lost glory in the smartphone segment. Lumia 520 has been the most successful smartphone till date for Nokia and it has pinned its hope on successor Lumia 530 to deliver stellar market performance.Microsoft Nokia Lumia 530

Nokia Lumia 530 is the most affordable Lumia device till date at Rs. 7,349 and basically fills the void for someone looking for affordable Moto E or Micromax Unite 2 alternative. It is powered up by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor and runs Windows Phone 8.1 operating system. Nokia Lumia 530 features a 4 inch FWVGA display which offers a resolution of 854×480 pixels and hence delivers a pixel density of 245 pixels per inch. It is a dual SIM device and has a dismal 512 MB of RAM, however this RAM will be more than sufficient to operate a windows smartphone.

The phone has 4 GB  of in built memory which could further be scaled up to 128 GB using an external SD card. In addition to that you could store your documents, pics etc on the 15 GB of Microsoft OneDrive cloud storage that comes free with this handset. Lumia 530 boasts of a 5 megapixel rear camera but unfortunately it is devoid of any front facing camera for video calling purposes. It comes power packed with a 1,430 mAh battery which is rated to deliver 13 hours of talk time on a 2G network.
