Micromax has learnt the art of teasing very well. Earlier it employed Hugh Jackman for teasing it’s one of the most successful flagship smartphone Canvas Turbo A250 and now they have come out with a teaser video on youtube which shows a pig in tuxedo doing moon walk. At the end of this teaser a message is displayed “A bigger Canvas coming soon”. So it is now only a matter of days when Micromax officially launches Canvas Doodle 3. Well any guesses why they have used a dancing pig? Well we are also as clueless as you guys are!
As of now Micromax hasn’t revealed much in terms of pictures and specifications of canvas doodle 3 except for that teaser video. But don’t loose heart Gadgets To Use Blog has leaked the pictures as well as some of the key specs of canvas doodle 3. Leaked pictures include that of the handset and it’s packaging showing some key specs on it’s back.
Usually we expect the successor device to have beefed up specs but in this case Micromax has downgraded and the reason behind this move is to sell it below INR 10,000. To make a smartphone this affordable you need to cut down a lot and Micromax has just done that. Now it needs to be seen if this trick will work in their favor or not.
Doodle 2 had a 12 MP rear camera it has been downgraded to 5 MP rear camera in Doodle 3. Similarly a 0.3 MP camera has taken over 5 MP camera at the front and a Dual Core chipset (MTK6582 chipset) has replaced a quad core chipset. As you can see in the picture above this device will be powered by a 1.3 Ghz dual core CPU and will have dual SIM connectivity options.
It will be HSPA+ device thus allowing you to download at speeds upto 21 Mbps. It will have a 15.24 cms (6 inch) high brightness FWVGA display. It is not clear as to how much on board storage is available with this device but we expect it to have around 4-8 GB of inbuilt storage capacity. Canvas Doodle 3’s memory is further expandable upto 32 GB with the use of an external microSD card.
Canvas Doodle 3 runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and it is not clear if it will receive a Kitkat update. It is powered by a 2,500 mAh battery and we have some serious apprehensions about its ability to go full day with a bright 6 inch display. Apart from all the above mentioned features you will get a magnetic flip cover very similar to Samsung Galaxy S4.
