Micromax Canvas A1 Android One listed on official Micromax website

Three Indian OEM’s Spice, Karbonn and Micromax in partnership with Google launched Android One range of smartphone last year. Micromax also launched its version of the Android One in the form of Canvas A1 last year. Micromax has now quietly listed its successor on its official website.

The upgraded Android One from Micromax now sports model number ‘AQ4502’ and comes with double the internal storage of 8GB. Other specifications on board pretty much remains the same. The dual-SIM, dual standby phone runs Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.micromax canvas a1 aq4502Apart from official Micromax website, the smartphone has also been listed by one eBay seller, priced at Rs. 6,039. Except for the OS version, internal storage and model number, the Micromax Canvas A1 AQ4502 shares same specifications with its predecessor.

Coming to the specifications, the Canvas A1 features a 4.5-inch (480×854 pixels) IPS FWVGA display. Under the hood is a 1.3 GHz quad-core MediaTek processor paired with 1GB RAM. It comes with 8GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB via microSD Card.

On the imaging front, the device is equipped with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and another 2-megapixel front-facing camera. The smartphone offers connectivity options such as 3G, GPRS/EDGE, Wi-Fi, GPS/AGPS, Bluetooth, WLAN, USB OTG, and Micro-USB. It comes power packed with a 1,700 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver 10 hrs of talktime and 160 hrs of standby time.

This device will only be sold in black color. Last month, Micromax launched Canvas Doodle 4 in India at Rs. 9,499. It is successor of Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 launched last year.
