Lava Iris X1 Specs, Features and Price

By | June 4, 2014

Moto E has literally sent shock waves down domestic manufacturers spine and they are ready to go to any extend to counter this threat. Earlier Micromax launched Unite 2, Xolo released Q600s recently to effectively dislodge Moto E from competition. Recently we heard that even Samsung is working on a Moto E killer! Lava in early May came out with its own Moto E killer dubbed as Lava Iris X1 and we somehow missed covering this device back then. Now we would like to see if this device can give some serious competition to Moto E or not.

Lava Iris X1 takes its design cue from Lava Iris Pro 30 and both of them can be safely termed as iPhone rip offs. But what ever it is Lava Iris X1 looks really good, feels sturdy and well put together. Specification wise Lava Iris X1 looks better than Moto E at least on paper. As of now Lava Iris X1 is exclusively available on Amazon. Now let us see what Lava Iris X1 has to offer.Lava Iris X1

Lava Iris X1 has a 4.5 inch LCD display with a resolution of 854×480 pixels which translates to a pixel density of 217 ppi. Whereas its chief competitor Moto E has a smaller display with qHD resolution which translates to a pixel density of 256 ppi. Thus when you place both the phones side by side Moto E is a clear winner. Lava Iris X1 is powered by a 1.2 GHz Broadcom quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB of RAM. Although quad-core feels like more powerful but both Moto E and Lava Iris X1 performed equally well on Antutu benchmark (with a composite Antutu score of around 13,000).

Lava Iris X1 has a 8 megapixel auto focus camera which is supported by dual LED flash lights and a 2 mega pixel camera sits at the front. We were pretty much satisfied with the quality of images the rear camera was able to capture in daylight.  Going on to the OS front, it runs latest stock Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS. On board storage is only limited to 4 GB but can be scaled up with the use of a microSD card (up to 32 GB). This device draws it power from a 1,800 mAh battery and is a dual SIM device where both the SIM’s are 3G enabled.

That is pretty much all about Lava Iris X1 smartphone as of now. We would soon come out with detailed Lava Iris X1 Vs Moto E comparison” so keep visiting us often and thank you for your continued patronage. Till the time you may go through our detailed “Moto E Vs Micromax Unite 2 comparison“.
