Indian smartphone maker Intex has launched a new member of its Aqua series, the Intex Aqua Star 2 HD. It could be considered as a pocket friendly phone at a price point of Rs. 6,590 ($104). There is nothing exceptional to talk about this phone, as it comes with pretty much the same set of specifications and features commonly found in this category.
This device runs Android 4.4.2 Kitkat out-of-the-box and comes pre loaded with couple of games and free apps. It also supports as much as 21 regional Indian languages much like recently launched Micromax Unite 3.
Now let us see what specs Intex Aqua Star 2 HD has to offer. This device sports a 5-inch IPS HD display with 720×1280 pixel resolution and pixel density of 294 ppi. The display is the only difference between Intex Aqua Star 2 HD and its predecessor Aqua Star II, which is quite evident from the name of the device itself.
It houses a 1.2 Ghz quad-core processor coupled with 1 GB or RAM. It comes with internal memory of 8 GB, which is further expandable up to 32 GB via microSD card slot.
Coming to the camera, the Aqua Star 2 HD is equipped with an 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera is also present.
As far as connectivity is concerned, it supports 3G, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and Bluetooth. The device comes power packed with a 2,000 mAh battery, which is rated to deliver up to 6 hours of talk time, and up to 250 hours of standby time.
Intex Aqua Star 2 HD is quite light at 125 gms and has dimensions of 142×71.5×8.95mm and will be available in Champagne, Silver, White, and Grey colours.
