HTC Desire 700, Desire 601 and Desire 501 to be launched in India

HTC today announced the release of 3 new mobile phones belonging to the desire series and they are HTC Desire 501, 601 and 700. The starting price for this range is 16,890 (HTC Desire 501). All the three devices are dual SIM and dual active smartphones as has been the norm these days.

Exact launch date has not been revealed by HTC but these phones are expected to be available soon in the Indian market. Earlier these handsets were launched in Taiwan and now they are set to enter Indian market. HTC is aiming the ever bulging mid range segment with the launch of these devices.

The HTC Desire 700 is the biggest of all with a 5 inch qHD display, hence it can be comfortable classified as a phablet.  This phone runs on Android (version has not been disclosed by HTC) with a layer of HTC Sense UI. Desire 700 gathers it’s processing power from a Quad core processor clocking at the rate of 1.2 GHz and is supported by 1 GB of RAM. It juice comes from a 2,100 mAh battery. When it comes to camera we have a 8 megapixel primary camera (rear) and a 2.1 megapixel secondary camera which works as a webcam.

The HTC Desire 601 is the only phone out of three which supports 4G LTE network to give you blazing fast browsing and downloading speeds. Apart from that it is powered by a Qualcomm Smapdragon 400 dual core processor which clocks at 1.4 GHz. Again this handset is powered by Android OS (version not disclosed by HTC) with usual HTC sense UI on top of it. One thing to note here is that Desire 601 can only be used with microSIM’s. It’s has a on board memory of 8 GB which can further be extended and also has 1 GB of RAM. It has a 5MP auto focus shooter at back and a VGA camera works as webcam on the front.

Desire 601 is the smallest of the lot with a screen size of 4 inch.

HTC Desire 501 comes with a crisp 4.3 inch screen and runs on older Android Jelly Bean 4.1 operating system. It is powered up with a dual core processor which clocks a speed of 1.15 GHz. This one is also a dual SIM and dual active mobile which means you can make and receive calls even when the other connection is busy.

Desire 501 only supports microSIM so be ready to cut out your SIM if you have a normal sized SIM card. It has 8 GB of internal memory(expandable up to 64 GB) and 1 GB of RAM. It also has a 8 MP rear snapper with LED flash and a 2.1 MP low light lense at front. It gets it’s juice from a 2,100 mAh battery.

HTC Desire 700 is priced at Rs 33,050, while the Desire 601 costs Rs 24,190. The Desire 501 will set you back by Rs 16,890.
