Celkon Campus Q405 launched at Rs. 3,199

Indian mobile phone company Celkon has added a new device to its Campus smartphone series, the Celkon Campus Q405. The device represents entry level segment with below average specifications. The dual-SIM smartphone runs dated Android 4.4.2 Kitkat OS out-of-the-box. Celkon has partnered with e-retailer Snapdeal to sell this smartphone at an attractive price of Rs. 3,199.

The device is up for grabs in four color options – white, gold, blue and black. The back panel of the device flaunts a perforated or dotted pattern, which gives it a nice look as well as enhanced grip.Celkon Campus Q405

The device houses a 4-inch WVGA display with 480×800 pixels resolution and delivers a pixel density of 233 ppi. It is powered by a 1.2 GHz Quad-Core processor (unspecified chipset) paired with 512 MB of RAM and 4 GB of ROM or internal storage. You can further supplement ROM up to 32 GB using microSD card.

Commenting on the launch, Y Guru chairman and managing director, Celkon Mobiles said,

“We aim to bring forth a smartphone for every individual’s need and the new Q405 is a step in this direction. We have many such exciting offerings lined up for the year to help us cross the one million phones a month mark.”

The smartphone comes with a 3.2-megapixel rear camera with flash and another 1.3-megapixel camera at the front for selfies and video chats. Popular keyboard app Swiftkey comes pre-installed, which is well known to make texting and typing ultra fast.

It packs a 1,500 mAh battery, measures 124×64.2×9.9 mm and weights 137 g. Connectivity features on board are – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G, GPRS/EDGE, and a micro USB port. Apart from that Gravity, Proximity and Light sensors come pre-installed.

Celkon recently launched Campus A518 smartphone, which is priced at Rs. 4,500 and comes with a measly 1 GHz single-core processor.
