Apple is all set to launch it’s latest gadgets i.e. iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C on Novenber 1st, 2013 hoping to capitalize on the festive buying from Indians. India gets into festive mood around mid October after Durga Puja and Vijay Dashmi. Apple last year came out with EMI schemes for iPhone 5 which clearly tells that it has some aggressive plans for Indian market and once again it wants to target small towns to sell it’s latest offerings.
Apple has kept the prices secret for the Indian market but grapevine has it that iPhone 5S will retail at somewhere around INR 50,000 and 5C at around 40,000 bucks. However the same devices are available for $649 & $ 549 (16 GB Variant) in the United States. iPhone 5S and iPhone 5C were first launched at an event at Apple’s headquarters on September 10 and the phones first went on sale from September 20 in nine countries and created an all time highest sale of around 9 million units sold within one week of release.
Apple claims to have made these devices with high grade aluminium and which are also having fingerprint identity sensor so that no one other than you is able to access your iPhone. The iPhone 5C is made from the ‘incredible technology’ of the iPhone 5. The phone runs on A6 processor, the same as iPhone 5. The phone has a slightly larger battery backup than iPhone 5. The iPhone 5c also has a 4-inch Retina display. Apple has also claimed that it’s latest products support more bands in 4G LTE than any other phone in the world.
Apple wants to make it’s presence felt in India by opening up 100 stand alone stores in small Indian towns. Lets see if Indian consumers lap up the new offerings from the house of Apple.
